Neverness to Everness 1.5 Exe Guide|Dark Summoner Main DPS Skill Breakdown, Banner Schedule + Team Comp Ideas + Kardz Top-Up Guide

Aether Gazer has been releasing characters incredibly quickly.

Kurofeather and Mingyin Rin from Version 1.4 have barely drained our Shifted Stars, and Version 1.5 is already bringing in two captains from E.T.D. Sixth Squad. This time, there is not just one five-star: Yiermu arrives in the first half, Exe in the second half, and the second-half banner also reruns Kaos. This schedule clearly leaves players' wallets no time to recover.

Complaints aside, it is still time to study the new character. Exe is currently the game's third Dark-element main DPS and uses an entirely new summon-focused playstyle, fundamentally different from Daphneil and Lakulimosha. This guide breaks down Exe's mechanics, team compositions, and Version 1.5's surprisingly unconventional new modes.

Exe Analysis: Dark Summoner with a High Skill Ceiling

Exe is the five-star Dark-element main DPS in the second-half banner of Version 1.5 and the captain of E.T.D. Sixth Squad. Based on the preview livestream and various reports, his core mechanics revolve around two keywords: Frames and Rating.

1. Core Damage Logic: The Longer You Fight, the Stronger You Get

Exe's damage pattern differs from that of a traditional main DPS. He is not a character who simply charges an ultimate and instantly wipes enemies. Instead, he rewards continuous offense and maintaining combat momentum.

Frame generation: When Exe's attacks hit enemies, he gains Frames. Frames are his core resource, and spending them summons Digital Echoes for additional attacks. In simple terms, the more often you hit enemies, the more backup ammunition you have.

Rating system: This is where Exe's skill ceiling comes into play. Rating determines how quickly he gains Frames. The higher the Rating, the more Frames each attack generates. Rating increases through attacks, skill casts, Perfect Dodges, and counters.

This makes Exe a character that strongly rewards stylish play. If you only stand still and use basic attacks, Frames build slowly and your damage suffers. If you can weave in dodges, consistently trigger Perfect Dodges, and keep your Rating high, Frames will pile up rapidly and the extra damage from Digital Echoes will rise along with it.

2. Exe vs. Kaos: Dark Summons vs. Aspect Aggregation

Kaos, an Aspect-element Aggregation character, is also rerun in the second-half banner. Choosing between these two main DPS characters is fairly straightforward:

Choose Exe if you need Dark-element damage or enjoy fighting alongside summoned units. As a new character, Exe offers a fresher mechanic and is one of the few current Dark main DPS options.

Choose Kaos if you have already invested in an Aspect team or missed his previous banner and want a versatile Aggregation main DPS. Kaos has proven to be consistently strong over several versions.

In short: if your Dark team is a blank slate and you are confident in your mechanics, Exe is the more exciting choice. If you prefer stability or need another Aspect unit, Kaos is the safer upgrade.

3. Signature Weapon: Dotted Horizon

Exe's signature weapon is the Plasma-type Dotted Horizon. Based on current reports, it will likely improve his Frame generation or Digital Echo damage. Signature weapons usually provide a direct boost for main DPS characters, so the weapon banner is worth considering if you decide to pull Exe.

Version 1.5 Features: Tank Battles and Logistics Tycoon

Version 1.5, titled Call, Number of Reverie, launches on November 5, 2026. Besides the new characters, the gameplay expansion is surprisingly bold and delightfully unconventional.

1. Across the City: Logistics Company Simulator

This is a logistics management mode. Starting with a small truck, you gradually build transport routes until your business covers the entire city. Players who enjoy management sims or watching numbers grow should find it very addictive.

2. Cover the City: Card-Based Strategy Building

Place building cards on a 3×3 grid and increase profits through combinations and synergies between cards. It feels like a lightweight city-building board game that tests layout planning and card coordination.

3. Open Road Ahead (Tank Battles): Four-Player Online PVP

This is Version 1.5's most unconventional mode. Four players drive tanks and fire at one another, while the central area offers the highest rewards at the greatest risk. If you are tired of action exploration and want a simple, chaotic clash of steel with friends, this mode should be very relaxing.

4. New Anomaly Space and Story Content

New main story, Reunion in the Sea of Numbers: The story takes place around a submerged city in a digital ocean, with an electronic visual style featuring glitches and data streams.

New Anomaly Space, Empty Number system: Explore a digital world built around online rumors and urban legends.

New boss, Mother of the Noble Rot Nest: This Anomaly Expedition boss drops breakthrough materials for Yiermu and Exe. After Version 1.5 launches, Exe players should reserve a place for this boss in their weekly stamina plan.

Resource Planning and Pull Advice

The Version 1.5 banner schedule is quite packed:

First half (Nov. 5-Dec. 2): Yiermu, new character + Crimson rerun

Second half (Dec. 2-Dec. 23): Exe, new character + Kaos rerun

If you plan to pull Exe, it is not too late to start saving Shifted Stars. The second-half banner opens in December, giving you a full month to earn resources from events such as Across the City and Cover the City.

Recommendations by player type:

Free-to-play and monthly-pass players: Prioritize getting Exe himself (0+0). His signature weapon can wait for a rerun or be replaced with a lower-rarity option. A main DPS can still function without a signature weapon, but no character means no gameplay at all.

Short on Shifted Stars? Kardz Safe Top-Up Guide

If you are still short after calculating your pity, international-server players can top up through Kardz instead of paying full price through the official store. Kardz supports direct top-ups for the international version of Aether Gazer, and only requires your UID—not your account password.

Kardz's current product discounts are also quite substantial:

Monthly pass: $4.41 after discount, down from $5.10, 14% OFF. For long-term players, the monthly pass remains the best value.

Small top-ups: 60 premium currency for $0.98, or 300+30 for $4.41 with 14% OFF. These are useful when a banner is ending and you are only a few pulls short of pity.

Large reserve: The 6480+1600 top tier costs $87.18 after discount, down from $101.83, 15% OFF—enough savings to cover a monthly pass.

Supply packs: If you lack upgrade materials, the Elite Hunter Supply Pack ($8.86) and Honored Hunter Supply Pack ($18.20, 11% OFF) are also worth considering.

Light spenders: If you have enough currency, you can aim for 0+1, character plus signature weapon. For a mechanic-focused summon main DPS like Exe, the signature weapon's stat and mechanic upgrades should be noticeable.

Players who pull for favorites: Pull whoever you like and do not overthink it.

Frequently Asked Top-Up Questions

Q1: Is topping up through Kardz safe?

A: Yes. Kardz is a legitimate third-party platform that supports official direct top-ups. You only need to provide your game UID and server; your account password is never required. Transactions are encrypted, so there is no need to worry about account theft or bans.

Q2: How long does a top-up take?

A: Top-ups are normally instant, and most orders are completed within 3-5 minutes. During peak traffic immediately after an update, delays of up to around 30 minutes are possible. If the order is late, contact customer support with a screenshot of the order number.

Q3: What if I select the wrong server?

A: Always verify your server before placing an order, such as International, Asia, or America. Virtual goods cannot be refunded if you enter the wrong server or UID, so check everything carefully.

Q4: What does the linked-email notice mean?

A: According to Kardz's page, some payment methods require the email and password linked to your account. Pure UID direct top-ups do not require a password. Check the detailed instructions on the Kardz page and choose a password-free direct top-up whenever possible.

Good luck, Investigators! Enjoy the new modes after the November 5 update, and may your December Exe pull arrive in one shot!
