Arknights: Endfield 1.5 "Snowy Pine Dream" Preview Livestream Set for Aug 21

The long-awaited 1.5 preview is finally set!

On Aug. 21 (Friday) at 19:30, the special preview program for 《Arknights: Endfield》 Version 1.5 “Snowmelt Dream” will officially go live. Everyone already felt how much content was packed into the last 1.4 “Into the Abyss” preview, and 1.5 looks even bigger - Typhon is very likely to appear, the Snowland Forest area will open, and the version is expected to launch on Sept. 2.

There are still three days until the stream starts, so let's go through the preview highlights in advance!

Preview Stream Basic Info

Time: Aug. 21 (Friday) 19:30 (UTC+8)

Expected version launch: around Sept. 2

Stream content: new operators, new area, version optimization progress

Stream rewards: as usual, limited-time redeem codes with pull currency or upgrade materials

New Character Leak: Typhon Likely to Appear

Based on the future preview shown in the 1.4 version stream, a Sarkaz archer has already appeared in a scene shooting arrows in the snow, and the 3D model and animations are finished. Multiple analyses point to this character being the popular Arknights operator Typhon. Of course, we already received this information early on. If you want to learn more about Typhon, you can revisit this article -> [1.5 New Character Leak]

In Arknights, Typhon is a 6-star Sniper operator from Sami, a Sarkaz, and belongs to the Besieger branch. She uses a special giant bow formed by demonic contamination as her weapon. It was left behind by her parents and is the only weapon explicitly forbidden to touch in her operator file. She was raised by the Cyclops Gleam, and has always tracked beasts tainted by demonic corruption, treating that hunt as her duty.

Endfield currently has no bow weapon type, so her skill animations may center on the bow while the weapon serves only as a stat carrier. After implementation, she is likely to be assigned to another weapon-class branch.

Also worth watching is “Si”: the “Si” mentioned in the 1.4 main story is also highly likely to be implemented in 1.5.

New Area “Snowland Forest” Opens

The preview will officially show the new 1.5 map - Snowland Forest, located north of Wuling Yinglong Pass. This area is covered in ice and snow and intertwined with dreams, and may serve as the main setting for the new story or event. Judging by the version name “Snowmelt Dream,” this area will likely come with an entirely new main story arc.

Version Optimization and Stream Rewards

The official team said that beyond new content, the preview will also cover development optimization progress, including gameplay improvements and system adjustments. Specific optimizations will be announced during the stream.

As usual, limited-time redeem codes will be distributed during the preview stream, containing pull currency or upgrade materials. These codes expire quickly, and if you miss the stream you may not be able to claim them later.

Resource Planning Tips & Kardz Recharge Recommendation

Players who want Typhon: the version is expected to launch around Sept. 2, so there is still time to stockpile pull currency now

Players who want Si: wait until the Aug. 21 preview confirms the character's role before deciding

Collectors: the 1.5 update brings a new operator, new map, and new story, so the amount of content is worth looking forward to

The 1.5 update will roll out new operators and a new map back-to-back, so the demand for pull currency will not be small.
