Version 1.4, “Towards the Abyss,” has only just launched, but news about the new characters in version 1.5 is already starting to appear.
This leaked lineup is pretty interesting: Typhon is crossing over from the original Arknights, now with a new “Reunion” identity; Si has just appeared in the 1.4 story and is very likely to be a key character in the next version; and there is also a new face named Ye Minghui, with limited information so far but already plenty of discussion in the community.
This article rounds up the information currently available to help you plan ahead.
Typhon Reunion: From Sniper to Guard, Limited-Tier?
Typhon is a popular Sniper operator from the original Arknights, known for ranged high-ground damage and her unique multi-target mechanics. In Endfield, she will appear in a brand-new “Reunion” form.
Key changes: Based on the position icon, Typhon Reunion may no longer be a Sniper and could instead be positioned as a Guard. Moving from ranged high-ground combat to ground melee would mean her combat style may receive a complete rework. If her original trait of attacking all enemies within range is used as a reference, this new form may continue some kind of area suppression or multi-target damage concept, but the exact mechanics still need to wait for release confirmation.
Story relevance: Based on the leaked character artwork and position icon, she may have a story connection with the core version 1.4 character Jue. Some analysis suggests that the “Reunion” suffix hints at a connection with a key faction in the main story, and she will likely play an important role in the Wuling chapter or the next arc.
Rarity and acquisition: She is expected to be a six-star limited operator and is very likely to be the limited banner character for version 1.5. Based on community discussion and the version schedule, version 1.5 is expected to launch between late August and early September. Typhon’s banner format may be similar to version 1.4’s Jue: a short-term rate-up with limited availability, meaning players who miss it may need to wait for a rerun. Since Endfield limited characters have no rerun precedent yet, players who like her or expect strong performance should plan resources in advance.
Speculation about the “Reunion” identity: In the original Arknights, the “Reunion” suffix points to the Reunion Movement, but Endfield is set far in the future. This identity may have an entirely different meaning on Talos-II. It could refer to her connection with a reorganized group, or it may be a codename for a specific identity. Of course, this still needs future official information.
Si: Appeared in the 1.4 Story, Confirmed as a Beast Agent
Si has already officially appeared in the version 1.4 story, showing up in the Yinglong Pass area as a mysterious Beast Agent.
Based on current clues, she is very likely to be one of the new six-star characters in version 1.5 and deeply tied to the main story. The identity of Beast Agent already carries significant weight in Endfield’s worldbuilding, and she may receive a full implementation plan later.
Her exact class position is not yet clear, but considering the “Beast Agent” setting, she may involve some kind of summon or co-op combat mechanic. Of course, this is only speculation. From the story setting, Si is the creator of the “Ink Trail” in the Yinglong Pass chapter, directly connected to the exploration mechanics players encounter there. Characters tied to map mechanics like this usually have high story importance.
Possible class speculation: if she follows a summon/co-op route, she may lean toward Supporter or Specialist. If she is more combat-oriented, Guard or Defender is also possible. No clear position icon has leaked yet, so everything should be based on official announcements.
Ye Minghui: A New Face With an Unclear Role
Another mentioned new character is Ye Minghui. There is currently little concrete information about him. He may be a character from a new faction, while his class, rarity, and acquisition method still need further confirmation. If he is implemented in version 1.5, he may share a banner pairing with Typhon or Si.
Existing clues about this character are limited to his name. Community speculation suggests he may be connected to a new faction, but there are no leaked skill descriptions, class icons, or story connections. It is best to keep watching for official artwork or previews before deciding whether to spend resources based on his actual role. If he is the second-half banner character for version 1.5, there should be at least 21 days between him and Typhon, leaving enough time to observe and decide.
Version 1.5 Banner Schedule Speculation
Based on the version 1.4 banner rhythm, with Jue in the first half and Lino in the second half, plus the usual pattern of placing limited characters in the first half, the version 1.5 banner schedule may look like this:
First-half banner, around late July to mid-August: Typhon Reunion limited + Si, possibly same banner or separate banners
Second-half banner, around mid-August to early September: Ye Minghui + several rerun or standard characters
Important note: There is currently no clear information on whether Si and Ye Minghui will be featured at the same time or split between the two halves. If Si and Typhon appear together, pulling two new characters in one version will put heavy pressure on your resources.

Prepare your resources in advance, and once Typhon’s banner opens, you can pull right away. Nobody knows how long you may need to wait if you miss a limited character, so do not leave preparation until it is too late.
