Genshin 7.2 Pull Guide: Mitia and Valeri

The 7.2 banner lineup is finally starting to take shape.

Mitia and Valeri—the “scientist” and “watchman” from Snezhnaya—will arrive on November 4. One is a five-star Electro catalyst user, while the other is a four-star Electro sword user. Looking at them together, HoYoverse’s intention is fairly obvious: the Star Superconduct team is finally taking shape.

For anyone who is still unfamiliar with these two characters, here is some background. Mitia is a scientist with Snezhnaya’s Royal Energy Association and had a significant role in the 7.0 Archon Quest, “The Merciless Eternal Winter.” She talks so much that a scarf is apparently needed to “make up for it.” Valeri is a major in Snezhnaya’s Fatui Armory Palace and the leader of the First Guards Grenadier Regiment’s Special Operations Battalion. He was assigned to Mitia to keep an eye on her day to day. In short: one causes trouble, and the other cleans it up.

Now, let’s get to the important part~

Banner Confirmed—Mitia and Valeri Launch on November 4

Based on multiple beta leaks and the official character artwork, the 7.2 banner lineup is now mostly confirmed.

The five-star Mitia uses an Electro catalyst and serves as the core damage dealer and Elemental Mastery support for the Star Superconduct team. The four-star Valeri uses an Electro sword and provides a shield, off-field Electro application, and Elemental Mastery buffs. Both characters are highly likely to appear in the first half of the banner, launching on November 4 in line with Genshin Impact’s usual six-week update cycle.

The schedule matters because 7.2 is another major update after 7.1, and Mitia and Valeri are being released together as linked characters for the same team. In other words, pulling one naturally means considering the other. Having the four-star character on the same banner is actually good news for players building the team, since Valeri will likely appear while you pull for Mitia.

Mitia—The Star Superconduct Core, C0 On-Field DPS/C2 Off-Field Support

Mitia’s kit revolves around two words: Star Superconduct.

Her passive talent forcibly converts Superconduct reactions triggered by the team into Star Superconduct, while increasing the team’s base Star Superconduct damage based on Mitia’s Elemental Mastery. Each point of Mastery increases the damage by 0.028%, up to 14%. This means she is not only an Electro damage dealer, but also a support who converts Elemental Mastery into team-wide damage.

For her skills, tapping E summons a “Steady-State Core” that automatically pursues enemies. Holding E summons an “Overload Core” and unlocks the special Charged Attack “Progressive Detonation.” Her Elemental Burst deals high AoE Electro damage and directly creates three “Progressive Beacons.” The special Charged Attack consumes the beacons, with each one dealing AoE Electro damage counted as Star Superconduct reaction damage.

The key constellation breakpoint is C2.

At C0, Mitia is a complete on-field main DPS who deals Charged Attack damage through held E. Her kit is fully functional without constellations. However, if you want to use her as an off-field support, C2 is the threshold. Once unlocked, this playstyle allows Mitia to provide resistance shred, Elemental Mastery, and CRIT DMG buffs.

There is one controversial point worth mentioning. In the V2 beta adjustment, Mitia’s C2 resistance shred was reduced from 25% to 20%. The community has also discussed the possibility that her constellation buff was changed to team-wide CRIT Rate. That CRIT Rate reaches its full value only when paired with the Cryo Archon’s talent, which converts excess CRIT Rate into CRIT DMG. In other words, Mitia’s off-field constellation value is lower for players without the Cryo Archon.

The impact is that Mitia’s off-field role has become more specialized. With the Cryo Archon, she is a strong support for that team; without the Cryo Archon, the value of C2 needs to be reconsidered. Your pull decision should therefore depend on whether you already have, or plan to pull, the Cryo Archon.

Valeri—Mitia’s “Dedicated After-Sales Service,” the Final Piece of Star Superconduct

Valeri is only a four-star, but his kit is highly compatible with Mitia. The community has even started calling him “Mitia’s dedicated after-sales service.”

Here are the key parts of his kit:

His E generates an Electro shield based on ATK and has 250% absorption efficiency against Electro damage. After triggering his talent, he grants the entire team “Electro Damage Feathers.” His Q applies Electro off field roughly once every 3.5 seconds while also granting the team 120 Elemental Mastery. After E, his talent increases the team’s Electro damage, Lunar Electro-Charged damage, and Star Superconduct damage, with the Star Superconduct bonus being the largest.

Valeri’s best team is Mitia’s Star Superconduct composition: Mitia handles on-field or off-field damage, while Valeri provides shielding, Electro application, and 120 Elemental Mastery. Combined with Mitia’s own Mastery buffs, the team can receive roughly 240 additional Elemental Mastery, significantly increasing Star Superconduct damage.

One detail is important: Valeri’s Star Superconduct buff is stronger than his traditional Electro buff. This makes him considerably more valuable in a Star Superconduct team than in a conventional Electro team. Community estimates suggest that his damage boost in traditional Electro teams may be only about one-third of what he provides in Star Superconduct teams.

For constellations, C2 is the key breakpoint—it fills all Feathers without requiring a counter, greatly improving consistency in actual combat. C6 grants the whole team +10% Electro CRIT Rate and +30% CRIT DMG, making it a premium option.

Pull Recommendations—Consider Your Roster and Budget

The pull decision can be broken down into a few questions.

Are you planning to pull Mitia? If the answer is yes, you should generally pick up Valeri as well. Four-stars are cheaper to obtain, his kit is a perfect match for Mitia, and you will probably get him while pulling for her. There is little reason not to build him.

Are you skipping Mitia but playing a traditional Electro team? Valeri’s value drops in that case. His damage buff in traditional Electro teams is only around one-third of his Star Superconduct value. If you already have Ineff or another established Electro support, Valeri can be a lower priority.

Are you unsure whether to pull Mitia? The key questions are whether you have, or plan to pull, the Cryo Archon. Mitia’s C0 main DPS playstyle is complete, but her off-field support value is heavily tied to the Cryo Archon’s team. If you are following the Cryo Archon flagship route, Mitia’s C2 is worth considering. If you are skipping the Cryo Archon, her strength as a pure Electro main DPS will need to be confirmed through live testing.

Based on current beta information, Mitia performs well as a main DPS at low to mid investment, particularly in the three- to eight-copy investment range. Her performance at high investment is more average, mainly because the ideal five-star teammates are not all available yet. This assessment is reasonable: the first characters of a new team naturally arrive before the full teammate pool is complete, and later updates will gradually strengthen it.

KARDZ Recommended Top-Up Guide

As an officially recommended top-up channel for KARDZ, we would like to share a few words with Travelers.

Resource pressure is concentrated in Version 7.2. Mitia and Valeri are designed as a linked team, so if you plan to pull Mitia, getting Valeri will usually happen naturally. However, unlocking Mitia’s C2 or even saving for the Cryo Archon requires sustained spending across multiple versions. Version 7.3 will also follow 7.2, and fully building the Cryo Archon flagship team will require investment beyond a single update.

Kardz provides direct top-ups through your game UID, so you never need to give your account password to a third party, eliminating the risk of account theft at the source. The service offers 24/7 customer support and accepts major payment methods including Visa, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. The process is simple: choose a denomination, enter your UID, pay, and Genesis Crystals usually arrive within a few minutes.

For players who want to build the Star Superconduct team in 7.2 while saving resources for the Cryo Archon, Kardz is a safe, convenient, and reliable choice. Search for “Kardz Genshin top up” to learn more; the official website provides detailed instructions and FAQs.

Version 7.2 has a particularly strong sense of banner synergy.

Putting Mitia and Valeri together is essentially the game telling you outright: if you want to play Star Superconduct, get both; if you do not, Valeri loses much of his value. This design is quite demanding—it does not give players the easy option of pulling one character for future use, but asks them to make a clear team commitment.

The debate around Mitia’s C2 follows the same logic. Her off-field role is tied to the Cryo Archon. Players with the Cryo Archon see a key piece of the flagship team, while players without her may see a constellation with limited value. The same character can receive completely different evaluations depending on the direction of your account.

So before pulling, answer one question: are you following the Cryo Archon route, or building an independent Electro route? That answer matters more than any beta numbers.
