Identity V Supervisor Notebook Guide

The long-awaited “Addendum Notebook” Supervisor mode for Hunter players has finally gone live today.

In the past, Survivors were the ones looting while Hunters chased them down. This time, it is flipped around: you no longer enter the match to catch people, but to loot chapters and escape. Hunters looting treasure and doing reverse labor was definitely not on anyone’s bingo card.

The mode officially opens after maintenance on August 6 and supports solo entry or two-player teams. This guide covers gameplay mechanics, ticket planning, and character recommendations to help you get started fast.

Gameplay Mechanics: Hunters Enter With Their Own Weapon, AI Survivors Serve as Practice Targets

Unlike the Survivor version of “Addendum Notebook,” the core goal of Supervisor mode is not catching people, but looting high-value chapters and extracting safely.

Key differences:

Signature weapon included: Hunters enter with their exclusive weapon. It cannot be removed but can be repositioned. Movement speed and stamina are also stronger than in regular modes, making map traversal feel much smoother.

AI Survivors as practice targets: “Supporting Survivor” NPCs controlled by Doppelganger AI will spawn on the map. Defeating them directly drops all chapters they are carrying, which is far more efficient than opening cabinets.

Higher drop rates: The number of antique cabinets has increased, and the drop rate for high-value chapters has been raised. Hitting cabinet edges or vaulting pallets can also trigger Terror Shock, putting your execution details to the test.

First batch of 14 Supervisors: Hell Ember, Smiley Face, Gamekeeper, The Ripper, Soul Weaver, Geisha, The Feaster, Wu Chang, Photographer, Mad Eyes, Dream Witch, Axe Boy, Evil Reptilian, and Bloody Queen. Characters not on the list will be added later, so there is no need to wait around doing nothing.

Ticket System: 7 Free Runs Per Week, Extra Runs Cost Chapters

The mode has a ticket requirement, so you cannot farm it endlessly, but the weekly free entries are enough for basic play.

Free entries: You get 7 entry chances each week. Remember to use them on time instead of letting them expire.

Extra tickets: After the first 7 entries, you need to exchange “Page Addition” chapters obtained from Survivor mode for entry tickets.

Entry unlock: Complete the “Beginning of the Blood Night” mission to unlock the mode. Normal and Hard difficulties are currently available.

Reward pacing: A single run’s material yield can basically cover the ticket cost, making it a profitable resource farming mode. Do not greed for extra hits just to squeeze in more runs. Clear one area steadily before rotating to the next route to maximize returns.

Recommended Characters for Early Progression

Among the first 14 Supervisors, early progression is best with characters who move quickly and clear minor enemies smoothly:

Geisha: Flexible mobility and high travel efficiency, great for learning map resource points.

Wu Chang: Dual-soul switching lets you handle both roaming and chasing.

Bloody Queen: Her Mirror makes cabinet farming efficient, ideal for fast looting.

Start with characters you are comfortable with to learn the map resource points and shop refresh patterns, then switch to other characters to compare their feel.

“Addendum Notebook” Supervisor mode is a full flip of the gameplay logic. Hunters are no longer pure predators, but “looters” entering with their signature weapons. Use your weekly free entries on time, pick comfortable characters to learn the map, and steady play will deliver solid rewards.

The mode officially launched on August 6, and Hunter players can now enter and start looting.
