Conclusion first: Yiluoyi is the current version's universal must-have unit, so all players should prioritize her; Canhong + Lingke are the core of the new 1.3 system, but they require investment as a set; Mingyin Rin and Nisha have strong future potential, so reserve resources if possible.
Overall Rating Tiers, from Strong to Weak
Strongest (S): Yiluoyi - Universal Meta Support, Zhenhong's Best Teammate
Yiluoyi is an S-rank Light character in the second-half 1.2 banner, positioned as a healer and buff support. The community describes her as "extremely versatile" and as a unit that "massively upgrades many teams." Her core mechanics revolve around "Regression and Imagination," and her kit covers almost every support function: teamwide healing, sustained attack buffs, AoE grouping, ally revival, and more. She is not tied to one specific main DPS; instead, she can slot into Zhenhong direct-damage teams, Spirit-element systems, Creation teams, and many other lineups as a universal plug-in.
Her protection utility is almost irreplaceable right now: Her ultimate includes a revive effect, so if your main DPS gets deleted, she can bring them back directly. She also has a Regression invincibility shield. In the past, high-pressure stages could collapse from one mistake if you lacked a reliable healer; with Yiluoyi, your margin for error becomes much wider.
Design and character appeal are also a plus: Yiluoyi is followed by three dream lambs, Huanjing, Mengjing, and Icarus. Her mechanics are interesting, and her identity as a medical team member is very recognizable.
One thing to note: Yiluoyi's own damage is almost zero. She is a pure support, so if your account has no built DPS yet, pulling only Yiluoyi will not let you solo-push content.
Top Tier (A+): Zhenhong - Phase Main DPS, High Investment and High Return
Zhenhong was the first-half 1.2 banner's Phase-element burst main DPS for the Charge system, positioned as a highly mobile melee damage dealer. The community generally considered her a "must-pull" unit, with strength comparable to Nanali. Her core gameplay revolves around "Fighting Spirit" and the "Crimson Ascension" form shift. After using a trajectory-changing skill, she transforms into an armored dragon form, switches her attacks to dragon claws, enters a berserk state, and gains movement speed, attack, and crit-related boosts at the same time.
The dragon-girl design is extremely appealing: Zhenhong is the "combat ace" of the Anomaly Management Bureau's Containment Team 2. Her white-haired dragon-girl design is very popular, and leaks suggest a free homewear skin may be exchangeable.
But there are issues to keep in mind: In actual combat, when facing enemies that move around constantly, whiffing basic attacks can clear all stacks, making it hard to reach her theoretical damage ceiling. She is also highly tied to specific teammates and needs a good damage window. Her banner has already ended, so this section is only for reference.
Top Tier (A): Canhong - Core of the Overmark System, Full Villain Aesthetic
Canhong is the S-rank Curse-element tachi main DPS for the first-half 1.3 banner. She is a former Chapter 4 main-story boss becoming playable, and also NTE's first limited Curse-element character. She is expected to be the core DPS of the Overmark reaction system and is predicted to be a highly mobile main DPS similar to Duftier. She is also rumored to have a second form, so her strength is worth watching.
A controversial but charismatic character design: In the main story, Canhong appears as an antagonist who goes hard against the protagonist group. This kind of character is not for every player, but it has also attracted many fans who like the "villain aesthetic."
Upper Tier (B+): Lingke - Canhong's Dedicated Follow-Up Support
Lingke is an S-rank Spirit-element companion-type character in the second-half 1.3 banner. She has a typical petite/loli body type and is naturally gifted with spiritual communication. Her signature equipment is a purple old-style television carried on her back, and a fixed companion ghost always floats by her side.
The core issue: bundled value. Current mainstream analysis believes Lingke is a dedicated support for the Overmark system, and she is very likely Canhong's "after-sales" teammate. For players planning to pull Canhong, this basically means Lingke must be secured as well.
Upper Tier (B): Mingyin Rin - Core of the Music Festival Version
Mingyin Rin is expected to launch in the 1.4 Music Festival version, and the community speculates that she will be an all-round support. Her model is already downloadable through the official event theme, and her Japanese voice is performed by Ikumi Hasegawa. With a unique singer concept, players have had high expectations for her ever since early leaks appeared. She is the kind of character many people would pull for looks alone.

NPC (C): Nisha - Promising Future Value

She is a Fire-element functional support and is predicted to be an upgraded replacement for Fatiya. With shields, healing, damage buffs, grouping, and teamwide Fire damage bonuses, her kit makes her look like a future cornerstone for Fire teams, and the community is optimistic about her long-term value. Version 1.3 Canhong + Lingke System Analysis:
