Pearl Analysis: The Joy Team’s New Sustain?

Has the sustain slot that Elation teams have been waiting for finally arrived??
Once Pearl’s skill leaks appeared, Silver Wolf mains in the community were basically split into two camps—one believed that the “Elation battleship” was finally taking shape, while the other wondered, “This kit looks a little complicated. Can she actually fit into the team?”······
Don’t rush to conclusions. Let’s break down the kit first~
Pearl’s Core Kit: A DEF-Scaling Sustain Buffer with a Good-Life Shield System
Pearl is a 5-star Ice sustain support from the Path of Elation arriving in the first half of Version 4.6. She is also the first dedicated follow-up character for the Elation system~ All of her skills scale with DEF, and her role focuses on combined damage reduction and supplemental healing rather than being a traditional high-output pure healer~

Core Resource System: Certified Banger
Pearl’s entire kit revolves around the exclusive resource “Certified Banger,” which stacks up to 50 times and can be converted into Repellency. Each stack of “Good Life” equals 200 points of Repellency. When an ally is attacked, Pearl consumes Repellency to block 60% of the damage~
This means her main survival mechanic is damage reduction through damage absorption, rather than healing after taking a hit~ Unlike traditional healers such as Huohuo and Luocha, who let allies lose HP before restoring it, Pearl provides protection upfront~ Against high-burst enemies, this should theoretically be more stable and avoid the awkward situation where “the heal has not landed yet, but the character is already down”~
Quick Skill Overview
| Skill | Core Effect |
| Skill | Gains 15 stacks of “Good Life” and heals the entire team based on DEF, with additional healing for low-HP allies |
| Ultimate | Gains 20 stacks of “Good Life” and applies “Deep Learning” to one ally, turning them into an “Aesthetic Archetype” |
| Talent | Converts “Good Life” into Repellency to block 60% of damage; allies at 50% HP or lower gain an additional 30% damage reduction |
| Elation Skill | The entire team’s next attack deals additional Elation damage. The damage increases with the number of Elation characters in the team: 10%/15%/20%/40% for 1/2/3/4 characters |
“Deep Learning” and Action Advance
Pearl’s Ultimate grants the “Aesthetic Archetype” 10%/15%/30% action advance based on the number of Elation characters in the team. With four Elation characters, the target also gains one full extra turn, and receives 30 stacks of “Good Life” and 60 stacks of “Laugh Points” at the start of that turn~
This is Pearl’s core value in an Elation team—turn-order acceleration~ By providing action advance and an extra turn, she lets the Elation main DPS act more frequently and indirectly boosts the team’s overall damage~
Team Building: Made for Elation Teams, but General Use Is Uncertain

Pearl’s team-building logic is very clear—she is tied to Elation teams~
Based on the skill descriptions, both the bonus damage from her “Elation Skill” and her action advance scale directly with the number of Elation characters in the team. The benefits are maximized with four Elation characters, which means her core value will be heavily diluted if the team only has one or two~
Suggested team directions:
Pure Elation team: Pearl + Silver Wolf (Wolf Sovereign) + SP Aventurine + Elation sub-DPS/support
Mixed team: Pearl + Elation main DPS + non-Elation support + non-Elation sub-DPS (reduced benefits)
Is she the “final piece of the Wolf Sovereign team”? From a kit perspective, Pearl does fill the long-standing sustain gap in Elation teams, but calling her the “final piece” may be premature~ The current selection of Elation main DPS and sub-DPS characters is still limited, so Pearl’s performance after joining the team depends on whether the existing Elation characters have a high enough damage ceiling~
There is also a practical concern—if most of Pearl’s healing scales with DEF, her relic main stats will need to focus on DEF rather than Outgoing Healing~ That means you may need to farm a dedicated set of DEF-main-stat relics for her, making her more expensive to build than a traditional healer~
Pull Recommendations
| Your Situation | Recommendation |
| Already playing an Elation team (Silver Wolf/SP Aventurine setup) | Worth watching closely; Pearl is the system’s dedicated sustain |
| Still undecided about the Elation system | Wait for the September 20 preview to confirm her kit and numbers |
| Need a general-purpose sustain | Pearl has limited versatility; do not pull her just as a universal healer |
| Limited Stellar Jade | Wait for the preview and post-release testing to confirm the Elation team’s ceiling |
Preview reminder: The Version 4.6 preview is scheduled for September 20. Pearl’s gameplay showcase and official numbers will be revealed then~ It is recommended to watch the preview before making a decision~
Short on Stellar Jade? Check out Kardz Honkai: Star Rail top-ups
If you plan to pull for Pearl but do not have enough Stellar Jade saved, international server players can take a look at Kardz’s Honkai: Star Rail top-up service~
Kardz’s top-up process is simple: search for “Honkai Star Rail” or “崩坏星穹铁道” on the official website, select your server and denomination, enter your in-game UID, and pay. The currency usually arrives within a few minutes, and you never need to provide your account password~
Based on real user feedback on the platform, Kardz’s delivery speed and reliability are fairly solid. The product review section includes many comments such as “super fast delivery” and “arrived in under five minutes”~ The platform regularly runs discounts, and limited-time promotions are often added around major version updates, so the final price is generally lower than the official price. New users can also receive an extra first-order discount~
For after-sales support, Kardz provides order tracking and customer service. If you encounter a top-up issue, it can be followed up promptly~ One thing to note: direct top-ups only require your UID, but entering the wrong UID can make refunds complicated, so check every digit carefully before placing the order~
Reminder: The platform often offers limited-time promotions around major updates, so check whether any coupons are available before ordering~

Pearl’s role is actually quite clear—she is a dedicated sustain prepared for Elation teams~
Her damage reduction mechanics are completely different from those of traditional healers, and her turn-order acceleration is also a need unique to Elation teams. If you do not play Elation teams, her value will drop considerably~
However, if you have already invested resources into Silver Wolf or SP Aventurine, Pearl should have a high priority~ After all, Elation teams have been waiting a long time for this sustain slot~
Let’s wait for the September 20 preview. It will not be too late to decide after watching the gameplay showcase~ Version 4.6 is still three weeks away, so there is plenty of time to start saving Stellar Jade~
Good luck with your pulls in Version 4.6, Trailblazers, and may Pearl join your roster soon!!
