Key point first: all six Mummy outfits return, draws start on July 3

If you missed any Mummy outfit before, you probably have no excuse this time. PUBG Mobile version 4.5’s “Dark Mummy Showcase” event brings back every previous Mummy outfit, plus a brand-new Chaosphage Set (Dark Mummy)!!!! Isn’t it time to get ready and make up for what you missed? If you skip it again, who knows when it will return!

The event runs from July 3 to September 1, almost two full months, so everyone has plenty of time to secure the sets they want!

Overview of the six returning sets

This returning lineup is very complete, with six sets in total:

Set NameTheme StyleMatching Weapon
Chaosphage (Dark Mummy · New)Dark style with dynamic particlesUpgradeable AWM “Chaos Calamity”
Classic MummyThe original white bandage legend——
Inferno Fiend (Fire Mummy)Lava theme with red glowing patternsUpgradeable UZI “Chained Inferno”
Polar Glare (Ice Mummy)Frost theme with a cold, sharp lookExclusive coffin glider
Soul Devourer (Blue/Ghost Mummy)Ghostly color paletteMatching upgradeable weapon
Netherworld Guide (Golden Mummy)Golden pharaoh radianceMatching upgradeable weapon

For veteran players, this is a great chance to make up for the sets they failed to collect back then; for new players, it means they can build a full Mummy-themed loadout from scratch.

New Chaosphage Set: powered by dynamic particle effects

The real highlight of this event is the newly released Chaosphage Set, also known among players as the Dark Mummy!!! It already looked cool in the official teaser, but once equipped in-game, it feels even more worth getting!

The biggest difference from previous Mummy outfits is the dynamic particle material—the old bandages were static textures, while this one flows and glows. Once worn, it clearly has a stronger presence than the older models.

Its matching weapon is the Chaos Calamity AWM, upgradeable to level 7. Upgrades unlock quite a few features: elimination broadcast, themed airdrop crate, and weapon switch effects, all of which are genuinely appealing to snipers.

There is also a Celestial Cataclysm Glider, where the character stands on it while flying. The visual style is a bit eerie, but definitely eye-catching.

New Dark vs old Ice: which set is more worth getting?

Last July’s Polar Glare (Ice Mummy) was once the peak of the Mummy series, setting a precedent with its exclusive glider. This year’s Dark Mummy fights back with dynamic particles and an upgradeable AWM.

Honestly, both sets have their strengths~ Ice Mummy wins in classic appeal and its glider, while Dark Mummy wins in fresh visuals and the appeal of the AWM. If you love sniping, the AWM from the Dark set should be the more practical choice.

Draw budget reference

Events like this usually use a spin wheel or crate draw system, and the actual cost can vary a lot. Based on past community reports for Mummy events, you can roughly use the following ranges:

Dark set + AWM in one round of draws (average luck): about 8,000 to 18,000 UC;

One old set + matching weapon: depends on wheel progress; with good luck, it may be lower than the range above;

Collecting all six: conservatively estimated at over 25,000 UC (this number is for reference only; actual results depend on your situation).

Remember to set a spending limit—don’t rush in blindly!

From July 3 to September 1, the event lasts nearly two months, so there is plenty of time. Lock in your target first, then decide how many sets to collect based on your budget.

A friendly suggestion: if your budget is limited, the new Dark set + AWM is the most worthwhile combo in this wave. The old Mummy outfits are classic, but the new dynamic effects and upgradeable weapon have already created a generational gap in visual impact. The chance to catch up is here, but before buying, think clearly about what you really want.
