Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Arrives October 21 – Pulling Guide for Arbiter Fione and Severian

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3, A Journey Back to the Sky, launches on October 21. The special preview program will air on October 9 at 19:30.

Fiona and Severian have both sparked debate since their test-server data appeared. Fiona allows Anomaly DMG to crit, while Severian turns Perfect Dodges into a core damage resource.

Here is what we currently know.

Fiona — The Phoenix Who Lets the Team Crit with Anomaly DMG

Fiona is a limited S-Rank Fire Anomaly agent and an adjudicator of the Brimstone Black Branch.

Her core mechanic is simple: she allows Anomaly DMG to critically strike, with the effect shared by the whole team.

According to test data, after Anomaly Mastery exceeds 145, every additional point grants the team 0.7% Anomaly CRIT Rate against Weakened enemies. At 245 points, the bonus reaches 100%.

Her signature W-Engine is the best choice, providing Anomaly Proficiency, Anomaly Mastery, and Fire DMG. Shell in the Box is the next option, while Weeping Gemini works well for budget players.

Recommended Drive Discs are 4-piece Freedom Blues plus 2-piece Phaethon's Melody. The first set boosts Anomaly Proficiency and reduces Fire Anomaly Buildup RES; the second provides 8% Anomaly Mastery.

The ideal team is Fiona + Remiel + Vilina. Three Anomaly agents raise her extra Anomaly CRIT DMG bonus from 25% to 40%. Vivian can replace Vilina, and only one Anomaly teammate is required to activate Fiona's additional ability.

Fiona is complete at M0, with M2 being a good stopping point. Her signature W-Engine has high priority because reaching 245 Mastery requires its bonus.

Severian — A Wind Greatsword Main DPS Driven by Perfect Dodges

Severian is a limited S-Rank Wind Attack agent, a senior inspector in the Public Security Order Department, and Seth's older brother. He is the first Wind Attack main DPS and the first greatsword agent in ZZZ.

His kit revolves around three resources: Flow, Shimmer, and By the Wind. Flow caps at 150. After reaching 100, holding Basic Attack consumes it to unleash Gale Hunt, with a multiplier as high as 3600%.

Shimmer has two stacks and can automatically evade non-control attacks, triggering Whirlwind. By the Wind also has two stacks and strengthens the final hit of his entry, chain, and ultimate skills. One stack adds 60% multiplier, while two stacks add 300%.

In short: the more Perfect Dodges Severian performs, the stronger he becomes.

His signature W-Engine provides CRIT DMG, ATK, and Wind RES ignore. The Brimstone and Starlight Engine are strong alternatives.

Use 4-piece Dawn Bloom with 2-piece Woodpecker Electro. Prioritize CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > ATK% > PEN Ratio, aiming for at least 70% CRIT Rate.

Suggested teams include Severian + Roxy + Yao Jiayin, or Nom + Yao Jiayin. His additional ability is easy to activate, but his Wind support and specialty stun partner are still missing.

He is playable now, but his true ceiling depends on a dedicated Wind support.

Pull Advice — Which Character Should You Choose?

If you have Remiel, Fiona is the higher priority. She completes the Remiel Anomaly team and her Anomaly CRIT mechanic should remain valuable for future Anomaly DPS units.

Severian is best for players who enjoy active dodging and mechanical gameplay. If you already have Yao Jiayin or Nom, he is worth considering. Otherwise, wait for more information about Version 3.4.

If you can only choose one, Fiona offers stronger immediate value because the Remiel Anomaly team is already established, while Severian is still waiting for a complete ecosystem.

KARDZ Recommended Top-Up Guide

Both characters arrive in Version 3.3, with only three weeks between the two banner phases. Fiona's signature W-Engine is important for reaching 245 Mastery, while Severian's Wind RES ignore is a major damage boost.
