NTE 1.5 Major Update on November 11: Yier Mu Tier-List Team Comp Guide – Is She the Dedicated Support for Crimson or the Missing Piece for Mingyin Lin?

Fellow Appraisers, Version 1.5 is getting closer and closer!
The official Version 1.5 update is scheduled for November 11, 2026. The highlight of the first-half banner is Elyms, the E.T.D. Sixth Unit's deputy captain and an S-rank Light-type Solid-State Arc Disc character~
Discussion about her has continued ever since her artwork was revealed. Her white cyber-holographic uniform and the weapon resembling a communications terminal and tactical tablet make her look like a high-end technical support character. But that raises an important question: True Red currently lacks a dedicated support that can maximize her potential, while Mingyin Lin's team is already complete. Which team is Elyms really the missing piece for?
After two days of data analysis and community testing, the answer is becoming clear: she is not a universal support, but an extremely specialized support for Yingchu Light DPS teams.
In this guide, we will break down Elyms' role, skills, team compositions, and pull recommendations from every angle!
Not a Universal Plug-In, but a Dedicated Yingchu Light DPS Support

Let's define Elyms' role first. When many players see the words “Light-type support,” their first thought is “universal unit” that can fit into any team. However, practical data shows that low-duplication Elyms (0+0 or 0+1) has very limited impact in non-Light DPS teams.
Her core value lies in Instant Resonance, Delay Enhancement, and Yingchu bonuses!
Why call her a “True Red support”? The main reason is that True Red's damage pattern depends heavily on the frequency of Yingchu reactions, while Elyms' powerful Delay effects and off-field coordination perfectly match True Red's burst rotation. In other teams, she can still provide some basic buffs, but they cannot take advantage of her core Yingchu benefits. You would be paying a five-star price for a four-star experience, making her very inefficient~
Skills, Weapon, and the “Signal Strength” Problem
Elyms has a very distinctive combat system centered entirely around Signal Strength.
1. Skill Mechanics: Three Signal Levels and On-Field Warm-Up
Three states: Elyms' combat state progresses from Weak Signal → Medium Signal → Strong Signal.
How to rank up: She starts with Weak Signal. Using her Assist or Track-Shifting skill advances her to Medium Signal. Her basic attacks then switch to an enhanced version with higher damage and stronger support effects.
Final form: To reach the strongest Signal state, she must use Track-Shifting again after completing the final hit of her enhanced basic attack.
Critical weakness: This means that C0 Elyms needs some on-field time to warm up. She is not a character who can simply cast a skill and immediately retreat off-field. You must reserve enough time in the rotation for her full enhanced basic-attack string.
2. Weapon and Power: Signature Arc Disc Amplification
Her signature Arc Disc, “Echoes on Hold,” perfectly matches her mechanics. It provides a strong stat profile, but more importantly, it enhances her Instant Resonance ability. With the signature weapon, her off-field coordinated attack damage after reaching Strong Signal, as well as the damage increase provided to teammates, undergoes a major improvement. Without it, she feels more like an unfinished product.
Comparing Her to Current Characters: Elyms' Best Teams

Character pulls should always be judged in context. In the first half of Version 1.5, Elyms has close connections to True Red and Mingyin Lin from previous versions.
Team One: True Red Main DPS Team (Elyms' Best Home)
Lineup: True Red (main DPS) + Elyms (core support) + Iloi (sustain/grouping/creation) + Mingyin Lin / Hasol (sub-DPS)
Logic: True Red relies heavily on Yingchu reactions, and Elyms' Delay Enhancement and Instant Resonance directly complete the final piece of True Red's setup.
The fourth-slot debate: The preview used Mingyin Lin, but veteran players know that previews are only references. In practice, Mingyin Lin's kit leans toward an independent playstyle and has average synergy with True Red. If Elyms' Delay Enhancement is strong enough, Mingyin Lin can be replaced by the same-element Hasol for a purer Yingchu reaction team, potentially producing better results.
Team Two: Mingyin Lin Main DPS Team (Likely a “Negative Upgrade”)
Lineup: Mingyin Lin + Heiyu + Iloi + Zaowu (Elyms replacing Zaowu)
Logic: Many players ask whether Elyms can join Mingyin Lin's team simply because both are Light-type characters.
Conclusion: Low-duplication Elyms will probably be worse than Zaowu. Do not pull her specifically for this team!!!
The reason is that Mingyin Lin's rotation is extremely strict about on-field timing. If Elyms takes time on-field to perform her enhanced basic attacks, she cuts into the damage windows of Heiyu and Mingyin Lin. Testing indicates that 0+1 Elyms replacing Zaowu in Mingyin Lin's team will most likely be a downgrade. The only exception is if you did not pull Iloi and need Elyms to fill a temporary sustain/support slot.
Team Tier Table and Pull Recommendations
To make Elyms' performance in different teams easier to compare, I prepared a tier table: (Click here to review the Version 1.2–1.5 character tier list)

Pull Recommendations:
Have True Red but lack her dedicated support: Highly recommended. The improvement is clear, and Elyms is currently True Red's best support.
Playing a Mingyin Lin team: Skip her. The currency used for her would be better saved for Heiyu's duplicates or future characters.
New players or players without a Light DPS: Not recommended. Early resources are limited, so prioritize a more universal sustain unit such as Iloi or a main DPS.
Resource Planning for Completing the Team

If you decide to pull Elyms and build her complete True Red team, how should you allocate your resources?
Character priority: If you are missing two or more of True Red, Iloi, and Elyms, proceed carefully. Completing an entire team archetype is very expensive.
0+1 or 1+0: Elyms' signature weapon has very high priority because it amplifies her coordinated damage at Strong Signal. If your currency is limited, prioritize one copy of her signature weapon; duplicates can wait for a rerun.
Echoes and materials: The new Version 1.5 boss, “Rotnest Matriarch,” drops Elyms' ascension materials. Save your stamina after launch.
